Kelsey Link C.J.E. of
Since middle school I have been a part of a yearbook staff. I was the editor of my high school and college yearbooks. Throughout my years involved on a yearbook staff, I have worked with 4 of the major yearbook publishers and chose to make a career with Jostens in August, 2002.
I earned my Bachelors Degree with a double major in Journalism: Public Relations and Human Communications from the University of Northern Colorado.
I have been a sales representative in Phoenix and Northern Arizona for 13 years. During that time, I have helped hundreds of schools create quality memory books that their school communities have treasured. Currently, I work with many schools throughout Arizona with budgets ranging from $1,000 to $150,000 and am proud to say that each of these schools maintains a healthy budget. I have been very fortunate to have worked
with some great administrators and advisers and I look forward to
maintaining my relationship with them for years to come.
In January of 2013 I tested to become a Certified Journalism Educator (CJE) through the Journalism Education Association. CJE stands for Certified Journalism Educator. That means that I, as well as other Jostens reps from around the country, have taken part in the Journalism Education Association’s (JEA) rigorous accreditation process as part of Jostens formal sales representative training program. Earning the certification requires weeks of preparation and passing a three-hour exam focusing on journalistic writing and editing, graphics and design, legal and ethical considerations, fiscal management, leadership training, conflict resolution and more. I am honored to now be the member of a select group know as CJE’s.
Yearbooks are a part of who I am and I cannot see myself working in any other field.
